Quality Control
over 5 years ago – Sun, Sep 09, 2018 at 06:00:25 PM

Hi Everybody,

Some positive news after months of delays.

All metal button styles, solid colored polymer button styles and fasteners are beginning  production this week. After a conference call on Friday night discussing approval samples, we’ve decided it is ready to move forward with the below styles.

The only pending items are the Faux ivory and Faux Horn styles as well as the metal posts for the 3-in-1 Tool which had to be outsourced.

Next week, I receive samples for the last 2 styles which are holding things up. So far the polymer factory has been making the updates and compatibility tests have been conducted over the last month. The adjustments they made on the new samples are a significant improvement over the rejected batch.

As for a timeline, production generally takes 2 weeks with an extra week of inspection for quality control. Once passed, product is shipped to packaging factory then shipped to me. At that point I will ship everyones order with a final check on everyones shipping address. I’m optimistic at this point as product is looking great.

Please let me know if you have questions and thanks again for all the support.

Sincerely,
Anibal

Tooling Update
over 5 years ago – Mon, Aug 27, 2018 at 01:15:54 AM

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to touch base on a quick update. We are on the very tail end of tooling. I received samples last week and they look great. The only 2 that I rejected and am having them remake (only for finishes) are the Faux Horn and Faux Ivory pictured below. The factory is re-adjusting the colors and are shipping to me this week. Once these are approved we go full steam into production which is about a 7-10 day window.  Given the recent developments I have been pushing for no later Sep.1 production date and so far all the factories have agreed. We are just about there and appreciate everyones patience.  Everyone has been great and I can't wait for you to get these!!

 Best regards,
Anibal

Status Update and Quality Control
almost 6 years ago – Thu, Aug 02, 2018 at 01:45:58 AM

Hi Everyone,

It's update time and I apologize for not getting back to everyone right away. I’ve been waiting for some kind of significant event to occur before writing an update, but I have been working on the factories timelines as they prepare all molds and send samples (much longer than expected of course). Nevertheless, I would like to include a current update for the entire project below. Please note that as much as I am pushing the factories, I also have to tread lightly as I understand that this product requires precision, new production methods, never existed before for the button industry, and have to give them the time to make sure all is 100% top quality. I rather delay a few weeks or month than to rush something subpar.

In the end you will all be very pleased with your product and will be proud that yes, you indeed will be wearing the most advanced buttons in the world!

Collar Stays, Collar Extenders and Packaging Approval:
As mentioned in the last update (July 1st), I had received the production for the collar stays and the collar extenders and the first approval samples for the packaging. So we are good to go here!

Buttons and Fasteners
Last week I had received a few rough first samples which I was happy with them tackling the most complex challenges. They were in great working order. 1 style I requested a resend for quality not function. This up coming week I will be receiving about 75% of all the samples with final finishes for approval. As in every production, especially first time product development they had to switch up their production process to accommodate the precision needed. Also for the Faux Horn, Ivory and Pearl styles we are introducing an entirely new process to the world of button making! I am really excited about this and will update once received.

3-in-1 ToolMuch to my surprise, the item that is taking the longest for production is the 3-in-1 tool. I believe this is mainly due to the low minimums and factory priority on their production line. However they are a great factory with good quality work, so it is worth the wait. See below images of mold production.

Shipping

Everyones BIGGEST and first question!!! The expectation has been August. So far I am still aiming for August, but I really cant know for sure until I get every single sample in for approval which is hopefully happening in the next couple of weeks. I am at the mercy of the multiple factories timing and priority. Once all samples have been approved I can have an exact shipping date but usually thats within a couple of weeks after that.

I want to thank all you again and those as well who have been in direct contact with me in regards to status of Auxilry. This shows how much you all can't wait to start impressing everyone and looking the best!

We are almost there and thank you for hanging in there! Samples are coming in next week so we should have more frequent updates from this point on. Please feel free to reach out to me at anytime.

Sincerely,
Anibal

Progress Update
almost 6 years ago – Sun, Jul 01, 2018 at 08:36:38 AM

Hi Everyone,

A very short update to let you know that I have received the production of the collar stays and collar extenders, in addition to the first approval sample of the packaging.

The collar stays and extenders look great!!!

And the packaging also looks WONDERFUL!!!!

The buttons/fasteners and 3-in-1 tool are still in the mold making process.

I'll update the timeline as soon as I get the concrete dates from the factory once they finish the molds.

Thanks to everyone that inquires about the status and offers words of support. It is very much appreciated. I'm excited to fulfill the orders and get going with the next phase.

Please feel free to reach out to me at anytime.

Sincerely,

Anibal
